Farrier Photo: A clean shoeing surface

It’s always handy to have a clean and level surface to work on when trimming and shoeing.

Sometimes this isn’t quite possible! I love living in New Zealand but this is what farriers experience from time to time.

  1. This is in the lucky event of nice weather. Not unusual to be expected to shoe horses in the mud. The most frustrating situation is, when there is a shed with suitable flooring and light, but the horse is not used to go inside and therefore you cannot use the workspace.
