It’s that time of year again, when rugs are being biffed off the horses, their winter coats are being lost and in some cases, lighter cover options are getting dragged out of the barn.
Driving around on my daily tasks, I see so many horses scratching themselves on fence-posts, fences or sometimes less suitable itching apparatus. It must be a pain for the horses being so itchy all day and having to struggle to find an effective way to itch their scratch (or should that be scratch their itch).

With the added complication of fresh pollens flying around, this can be a real problem and not a very pleasant time of year for horses.
Kevin Bacon’s Itchy Soap gives soothing relief to those horses (and dogs!) who suffer from these seasonal problems. It’s made from 100% natural ingredients (including saponified/essential oils) and is effective but safe to use.
Directions for use:
- Wash the horse down
- Bring Kevin Bacon’s Itchy Soap to a lather and gently scrub to come into contact with skin
- Leave to soak for 20 minutes
- Wash off
- Repeat twice a week or as required
I’ve spoken to so many people over the past few years who say they’ve tried everything and Kevin Bacon’s was the first product to work and now they have a happy animal!
It’s great for use on dogs too – itchy dogs can be uncomfortable and Kevin Bacon’s Itchy Soap can help reduce this itching and offer much needed relief.
Kevin Bacon’s itchy soap is available throughout New Zealand from selected stockists.
